Black eyed beans (Lobia) curry recipe

Easy to prepare black eyed beans or lobia curry recipe, this will be suitable with hot rice. Cook this simple recipe with love and enjoy.


200 gram – Lobia (Black Eyed Beans)
Salt – according to Taste
1 tsp – Coriander powder
1/2 tsp – Cumin powder
1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
2 tbsp – Oil
1/2 inch – Ginger
1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
1 – Tomato (medium)

1 cup – Coriander leaves


First soak the Black eyed beans overnight in water or at-least for 6 hours. Boil soaked beans in cooker for 2-3 whistles. Now add salt, coriander powder, cumin powder and turmeric powder to it on sim flame.
Now heat oil in a saucepan add chopped ginger and cumin seeds and add sliced  tomato, saute for about 5 minutes. Now add this to the boiled beans and mix well keep it on a sim flame for about 10 min.  Topping with coriander leaves. This curry is suitable for rice.
