Daliya khichdi

Daliya khichdi is healthy nutritious dish made of broken wheat mixed with lentils and vegetables.

Ingredients :

1.Daliya – 1/2 cup

2. Moong dal – 1/2 cup

3. Carrot – 1 sliced

4. Potato – 1 medium size

5. Green peas – 2 tbsp

6. Green chillies – 2

7. Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp

8. Oil – 2tbsp

9. Turmaric powder – 1/2 tbsp

10. Ginger paste – 1/2 tbsp

11. Salt – 1/2 tbsp

METHOD ;

  1. Soak moong dal for half an hour and keep aside.
  2. Chop the carrot and potato.
  3. Roast the daliya with 1tbsp oil
  4. Take cooker in that add 1tbsp of oil then cumin seeds, ginger paste allow them to. Splutter.Further add slit green chilli, chopped vegetables,green peas and stir for a minute then add turmaric powder, moong dal, roasted Dalia ,lastly salt and water around 4 cups.
  5. Close the cooker lid and and wait for 4 whistle .
