Girmit recipe with no onion no garlic

Girmit which is also known as masala puffed rice, is a famous and mouth-watering street snack, which is sweet and tangy in taste found in north Karnataka of South India.

Ingredients:
1.Murmura (puffed rice) – 200gm
2.Tomato -2 small size
3.Green chilli -3
4.Roasted gram powder -1/4 cup
5.Jeera -1/2 tbsp
6.Mustard seed – 1/2 tbsp
7.Tamrind – small lemon size
8.Jaggery – 1 tbsp
9.Coriander leaves few
10.Curry leaves few
12.Groundnut – 3 tbsp
13. Salt – 1tbsp
14.Oil -1/4 cup

Method:
1.Soak the tamarind in little hot water and squeeze it nicely to extract juice.
2.Put the jaggery in tamarind juice let it melt
3.Take oil in a pan season it with jeera, mustard seed, add ground nut, keep stirring till nuts get roasted.
4.Add chopped tomato, half cut green chilli, curry leaves, tamarind jaggery juice, salt, roasted gram powder keep stirring untill tomatoes smashed and well mixed.
5.Take murmura in a large bowl then add the mixture mix well so that the mixture well coated with murmura.
6.Finally add chopped coriander leaves.
7.Serve girmit with fine Sev from top.
