Gond ke laddu is a healthy traditional sweet ball made from dry fruits, edible gum and ghee.
Ingredients :
1.Gond (edible gum) – 1 cup
2.Ghee – 1/4 cup
3.Dry dates – 15 piece
4.Cashew-10
5.Raisins – 15
6.Almond – 10
7.Poppy seeds – 2tbsp
8.Jaggery – cup
9.Dry coconut – 1cup
10.Cardmom powder – 1tbsp
Method :
1.Take ghee in heavy bottom pan and fry the gond in batchwise untill double in size and puffs up.It can be crushed or used as it is which gives crunchy texture for laddu.
2.Roast the dry fruits one by until golden brown and keep aside.
3.Cut the dry dates into small pieces and blend into coarse powder.
4.Grate the dry coconut ,and roast it adding little ghee untill golden brown colour.
5.Roast the dry date powder and poppy seeds separately.
6.Take jaggery in a pan add 2-3 tbsp of water let it boil until 1 string consistency.
7.Add grated coconut ,dry dates,dry fruits,gond,poppy seeds to sugar syrup and mix well and make small laddus.
