Palak chakli or palak (spinach) murukku is green leafy snack which is spiral in shape and is tasty, crunchy and healthy.
1.Palak -1 small bunch
2.Rice flour – 4 cup
3.Besan -1 cup
4.Green chilli -5
6.Pepper -1/2 tbsp
7.Cumin seeds -2 tbsp
8.Carom -2 tbsp
9.Sesame seeds – 2tbsp
10.Salt -2 tbsp
11.Ghee or butter – 2 tbsp
12.Oil for frying.
1.Wash and remove the stalk of palak.
2.Take the palak and green chilli ,make smooth puree it may require 1/4 cup of water.
3.The other side keep ready rice flour,besan, cumin seeds,carom seed,sesame,salt ,pepper powder,ghee and mix well.
4.Add palak puree immediately to the flour which keeps the green colour and mix well, if required adding little water make smooth dough.
5.Take dough into chakli maker and press to make small chakli of required size.
6.Fry the chaklis 4 to 6 at a time on both sides , the flame should be medium.Frying on high flame burns the murukku.
