Recipe of khaman dhokla is very delicious sweet and sour north Indian breakfast. It is so soft and spongy that all age group can eat and enjoy.
1.Besan flour -1.5 cup
2.ginger paste -1/2 tbsp
3.green chillies – 2 to 3
4.sugar – 1 tbsp
5.salt – 1 tbsp
6.Hing – 1 pinch
7.Turmaric powder – 1tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Water as required
- Eno or soda – 1/2 tbsp
- Semolina – 3 tbsp
1.oil 3-4 tbsp
- Mastard seed -1 tbsp
- Cumin seed – 1tbsp
- Sesame seeds – 1tbsp
- Hing – 1 pinch
- Curry leaves – few
- Green chillies – 3 to 4
- Salt – 1tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
- lemon juice -2 to 3 tbsp
Water – 1/2 cup
- Coriander leaves and coconut for garnish.
1.Grease the tin with oil and keep aside
2.Take a bowl add all the ingredients mentioned above for making batter except soda
3.whisk continuously to get smooth silky consistency
4.get ready with steamer by pouring water below the container
5.pour the batter into greased container add soda or Eno just before steaming.
- Steam it for 20 min
7.Unmould steamed dhokla and cut into pieces.
1.Take Frying pan add oil mastard seed,cumin seed wait for second to splutter then add sesame seed, hing,green chilli and cury leaves stir till it is fried
2.Pour water and remaining ingredients boil for 3-4 min
- Pour the seasoned syrup onto dhokla pieces
4.Garnish it with coriander leaves and coconut .
