Jalebi is made by deep-frying batter made with maida circular shapes, then soaked in sugar syrup. This sweet or dessert can be served warm or cold.
1.Maida -1 cup
2.Sugar – 1cup
3.Water – 1/2 cup
4.Baking soda -1/2 tbsp
6.Curd -2 tbsp
7.Turmeric for coloring – few pinch
8.Saffron few strands
9.Oil for frying
10.lemon juice-1 tbsp (optional)
1.Mix maida,curd,baking soda ,food color and prepare batter of flowing consistency.Let it rest for 10 min.
- 2.Take sugar and put 1/2 cup water and let it boil for 10 min, u can add lemon juice to avoid crystallization.
3.Add saffron strands to sugar syrup
4.Take the batter in sauce bottle start leaving in round shape in hot oil ,there should be space between One and the other. Once it done it will float then turn other side
5.Once Jalebi fried dip it in sugar syrup both side and take out.
